Our Services Occupational Therapy

Pesso-Boyden System Psychomotor (PBSP) combines elements of occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) for an overall mind-body experience. This type of therapy can help children meet their sensory needs while also providing essential therapies, such as fostering gross motor and fine motor skills through therapy and play. For those who are nonverbal or have trouble communicating, PBSP can help the body communicate what speech cannot. Beyond fine and gross motor skills, this type of therapy also focuses on sensory processing skills, visual attention and memory, problem solving, spatial intelligence and skills, muscle tone regulation, handwriting skills, and lateral dominance. Our psychomotor therapy hall includes rock climbing walls, trampolines, a ball pit, and an autism steam roller to help provide deep pressure sensory needs to those with autism.
